October

October brings snow to the high country. A season has passed and a new one is here. I've taken a new job with Kaplan Online Education doing affiliate sales. I've also been very busy with Crank Collective and doing some freelance video work for Competitor Group. I was just in Kona, HI for the Ironman World Championships and have a series of additional trips coming up. Katie has been trying to balance being a mom and moving her studio in my absence - no small task.

Just like the seasons, if you don't take time to write, the days just fly by until all of a sudden you are wondering where all the time went. There is still time for some more bike riding, but I also hear that there has been good shredding in the high country.

Gus is running around and picking up new words very quickly. He loves to follow Kai around and play with his older brother. We just took the training wheels off Kai's bike and he is charging around like he never had them on. They are both full-gas all day. They have both been sick for a week, but they don't seem to slow down too much as a result. Fortunately they didn't get H1N1 last week, hopefully we can dodge that bullet, but it is spreading in the valley very quickly. Scary, but part of life.

Tomorrow I am off to Florida for a couple days of work at Kaplan HQ. I am sad to leave Katie alone with the boys again, but have a lot that needs to be attended to. The new job is interesting and I like the people I am working with, but there have been a lot of changes taking place in-house that make things a little harder to get done remotely. Hopefully I will get a lot of questions answered this week and move into a productive place going forward.
