Lance!

Been a fan of this guy since before cancer.It was nice to meet him face to face in a mellow setting. He just finished riding the course for the 12 Hours of Snowmass bike race (9/14/08) and was just chilling in an uncrowded base area. I introduced myself, said thanks for the inspiration over the years, and had a nice conversation with him. Can't see it in the photo, but Gus is on my back in the backpack. Would have liked to see the race, but we had to get back to CB. Katie is doing massages in the Mountaineer Bowl at Western for runners who are competing in the CB to Gunnison marathon today. We camped on Kebler Pass last night on the way home. Kai was great. Gus was rowdy as hell. It was awesome, though.

He is such a great little dude. Very mellow and sweet. Here he is with the family cheering him on for his first roll-over. We are so proud.
